What kind of leather is the best and and which to buy?

Whether shopping for leather goods at S-ZONE or around the internet, you’ve probably noticed that products are made with different types of leather.

You might have heard of terms like "genuine leather", "top grain" and "full grain", which refer to leathers obtained from different parts of animal hide. But what kind of leather is the best and and which to buy? This artical will help to make a more informed purchase decision.

Full grain leather is the highest quality grade of leather that money can buy. The Crazy horse leather that we use is full grain leather. Full-grain leather simply means that the hair is removed and the hide goes immediately into the tanning process. It comes from the top layer of the hide and includes all of the natural grain. All of the oil-absorbing properties and original characteristics of the leather remain intact. The leather will patina and endure over time. Full-grain leather is stronger and more durable. A bag will get more oohs and ahs after ten years of use from this type of leather.

Full-grain leather is more expensive for manufacturers to buy and more difficult for them to work with. This is reflected in the cost to the consumer.

Top grain leather is the second highest grade of leather and has the o

utermost layer of hide removed. Most of our soft leather bags are made from top grain leather. This difference makes the leather thinner and more workable for the manufacturer, which is reflected in the price compared to full grain leather. But don’t be mistaken, top grain leather bags are still very durable and reliable.

PU leather, also known as synthetic leather, it's an imitation of the real leather created from polyurethane, a plastic with a similar feel and aspect to the leather, but without involving animals. 100% PU leather is an artificial material or artificial leather that does not involve animals. PU leather is considered Vegan leather.
